EXPERIENCE SUMMARY and INTERESTS
I have 20 years of experience conducting animal ecology, distribution and abundance assessment of rare and abundant species, predator-prey and reproductive studies, as well as detailed habitat and modeling analyses. Areas of expertise include designing and conducting research studies on population dynamics, occupancy analysis, non-invasive genetic analysis, and CMR applications, in particular with large carnivores and wolves. Work with endangered and threatened species includes planning field surveys over large areas often incorporating Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data and analyses, and non-invasive genetic analysis. Other experience involves educating and training others in ecology, wildlife management, survey techniques, and environmental education. My career goals are to contribute to wildlife conservation and management through research and teaching.
General qualifications
Wildlife conservation, modelling distribution and abundance, CMR applications, GIS, landscape genetics, carnivore conservation and wolf research.
