MACROMOLECULES

The study of macromolecules covers diverse areas, including multiomics and systems biology, interactomics, and the relationship between structure and function. Understanding the three-dimensional structure of macromolecules such as proteins and nucleic acids is essential for the identification and interpretation of molecular interactions. By integrating "omics" technologies such as genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics, researchers can gain a comprehensive understanding of complex biological processes. These insights can be leveraged for practical applications, such as characterizing potential antivirals and phytoactive components, as well as for understanding molecular evolution over time through “paleomic” studies.
